Harf Poetry Competition
96th Saudi National Day | Our Pride is in Our Nature
- This competition is organized by Harf Café on the occasion of the 96th Saudi National Day, under the slogan "Our Pride is in Our Nature" (عزنا بطبعنا).
- Participation is open to all poets across the Arab world.
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
- Downloading the Harf app and registering an account is required for both participation and voting.
- Each participant is permitted one account only. Registering multiple accounts is strictly prohibited.
- Each participant may submit one entry only: a written poem, a visual design, or a video.
- Entries must be original and must not have been previously submitted to any other competition, and must align with the competition slogan "Our Pride is in Our Nature" (عزنا بطبعنا).
- Entries must be in Arabic (Classical Arabic or Nabati) and free of any offensive content or material that violates public decency or national values.
- The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry suspected of being AI-generated without the obligation to provide justification.
- Entries must not contain any commercial, advertising, or promotional content for any entity or product.
- Submission period: August 23 to September 23, 2026 (11:59 PM Riyadh time).
- Winners will be announced on September 24, 2026.
- Each registered user in the app is entitled to one vote only.
- The use of any illegitimate means to influence voting is prohibited, including but not limited to: fake accounts, automated programs (bots), vote purchasing, or any form of manipulation.
- The winner is the participant who receives the highest number of valid votes. In the event of a tie, a judging panel appointed by the organizer will make the final decision.

Prizes:
- 1st Place: SAR 100,000
- 2nd Place: SAR 50,000
- 3rd Place: SAR 25,000
- Prizes will be transferred within 30 business days of the results announcement. Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. Winners are responsible for any tax obligations in accordance with the regulations of their country of residence.
- Winners must respond to the winning notification within 7 days of the announcement and provide the organizer with the required documentation. Failure to do so entitles the organizer to award the prize to the next-ranked participant.
- All intellectual property rights for submitted entries remain with the participant. However, the app reserves the right to use, publish, reproduce, and display the entries across all its channels, platforms, and marketing materials without any time or geographic restrictions, with credit to the poet's name.
- By submitting an entry, the participant waives any future financial claims related to the use of their entry by the Harf app or Harf Café.
- The participant affirms and warrants that the entry is their own original creation and does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party. The participant bears full legal responsibility in the event this is proven otherwise.
- If an entry is found to be plagiarized or copied, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the participant and reclaim the prize if it has been disbursed.
- The organizer reserves the right to remove any non-compliant entry or disqualify any participant who violates these terms without the obligation to provide justification.
- The participant consents to the use of their name, image, and entry content in promotional and media activities related to the competition.
- Competition results are final and not subject to appeal or contest.
- The organizer reserves the right to modify these terms, the timeline, or the prize values at any time, provided that such changes are announced through official channels.
- In the event of force majeure preventing the completion of the competition or any of its stages, the organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel without any obligation to participants.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the courts of Riyadh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
- By participating in the competition, the participant acknowledges that they have read these terms and conditions in full and agrees to them without reservation.
- All entries are subject to a technical review by the competition team to ensure compliance with the entry criteria. The organizer reserves the right to hide any entry that does not meet the required standards, without the obligation to provide justification.
